Set in the heart of Summer wine country this lovingly restored Mill cottage is situated right next to the River Holme in the village of Hinchliffe Mill, just over a mile south of Holmfirth. Ideal for peaceful breaks and for those wanting to enjoy the countryside from their doorstep.

The village of Hinchliffe Mill has a convenient bus service into Holmfirth and Huddersfield. Within easy walking distance of the cottage is the village store (which sells almost everything including takeaway sandwiches and snacks), the local pub, tearoom and other shops.

The 150 year old Mill cottage has been renovated to a high standard but has retained many original features. The small but comfortable cottage has mullion windows, beamed ceilings and the original stone fireplace, now enhanced by a wood burning stove.

The old features have been complemented with a well equipped modern kitchen, including washing machine, leather furniture in the lounge together with flat screen TV and DVD.The lounge has patio doors to a nice balcony over the river with lovely views and patio furniture. Free high speed wifi is available at the cottage

Originally a 2 bedroom property the cottage has been converted to provide one spacious bedroom with king size bed, writing desk and ample drawer and wardrobe space. The bedroom has delightful views over the River, Mill pond and to rolling countryside beyond. The only likely noise will be the ducks in the river below......

The bathroom has been modernised and provides a bath, thermostat controlled shower and heated towel rail. The cottage also benefits from its own balcony area over the river with fabulous views private parking space, double glazing, central heating, hair dryer. All bed linen and towels are provided. No smoking is allowed but one small dog by prior arrangement is permitted.....see terms and conditions.

Stayed here for a New Years break with partner and the dog. Lovely cosy cottage with a nice balcony. Didnít use the car once for the whole 3 night break as there is so much nearby to walk to. 15 minute ish walk into Holmfirth plenty of pubs and shops. A shop and pub just at the top of the street so a couple of min stroll. And we also walked into Holme which did take around 40 minutes but again a lovely dog friendly pub with great food. Could of stayed here a lot longer as itís very cosy and peaceful. All you need for a relaxing break!

Lovely little cottage with all the facilities you need for a relaxing break. A big bonus was that we could take our little dog with us. The addition of the recently fitted balcony off the lounge is a bonus - great for sitting out with a glass of wine and watching the dog being mesmerised by the ducks bobbing along!. Holmfirth is a great little town and the cottage is well situated for sightseeing and has some lovely walks in the area.

We have just made our fourth visit, love the cottage and the area, great for walking. Recent balcony addition provides very relaxing outdoor space over the river. Well equipped kitchen, although when on holiday we usually only use the kettle and the microwave!

Lovely, cosy cottage right by the river with a waterfall view. A quick 3 min drive into Holmfirth which has some great real ale pubs, bars and a good curry house, Bengal Spice. Cottage itself cosy, homely and perfect for a couple. Also very reasonably priced. Towels but no tea towels provided. Also no bin bags provided.
