Location

Away from it all, within the picturesque West Highland former fishing village of Badachro, you will find Ceomara Highland Cottages.

These two stylish and cosy self-catering semi-detached cottages have an enviable position on Badachro Bay with sea and mountain views that are truly outstanding.

Many spectacular low and high level walks can be enjoyed in the area, to enjoy the diverse scenery, geology, history and wildlife. The beautiful sandy beaches of Opinan and Red Point are only a short drive away, as are the facilities, boat trips, golf course and shops at Gairloch. A short walk around the bay takes you to the traditional Badachro Inn.

The cottages are semi-detached with separate entrances and are adjacent to the owners home ‘Ceomara’. They are easily accessed along a quiet, secluded road and have excellent enclosed level parking.

Cottage interiors

Downstairs in the cottages, the open plan living/dining/kitchen area is furnished in a fresh contemporary style, from which far reaching views to the Torridon Mountains can be enjoyed. There is an LCD TV and DVD, a radio/cd player and a good selection of walking booklets, OS maps and local tourist information.

The kitchen is very well equipped. There is a microwave and electric cooker, fridge with small freezer compartment, washer dryer, cafeteire and very good range of cooking equipment.

Garden

To the front of the cottages is a fully enclosed, south facing garden with spectacular views, picnic bench and home grown herbs for use during your stay. Seals can be watched playing in the bay as well as many coastal and wading birds. Many species of garden birds visit the feeders in the garden. A pine martin is regularly seen around the area, otters are more difficult to spot, but are seen in certain locations.

Recycling

Guests are encouraged to recycle during their stay, facilities are provided for the recycling of glass, paper, plastic, tins and also compostable kitchen waste.

Each cottage is ideal for a couple, but can sleep up to 4 adults*, in 1 double and 1 small twin bedroom. You will find quality, co-ordinating bed linen and furnishings. There is a stunning newly refurbished upstairs shower room, with contemporary suit, heated towel rail, illuminated mirror and shaver point.

Tariff

The tariff includes all heating and lighting. Bed linen, duvets and pillows are supplied together with kitchen linen and a bath mat, with the exception of personal towels (which can be hired in advance). Some freshly baked, home made butter shortbread biscuits and a small seeded loaf, together with milk, tea and coffee, ensure a warm welcome at your holiday cottage.
