BEACHES: Trebarwith Strand closest to Rooky’s Nook. Daymer Bay – also Polzeath and Rock, all within the Camel Estuary. Bude - various beaches, Newquay – including Watergate Bay - ‘surfer’s paradise’!
PLACES TO VISIT: Tintagel with it’s ancient castle, with legends of Camelot and King Arthur. Port Isaac – picturesque Cornish fishing village. Boscastle – a beautiful coastal village. Bodmin Moor – (inland) with Rough Tor and it’s archeological history, just outside Camelford.
GARDENS: Eden, Lost Gardens of Heligan, plus all the other ‘Gardens of Cornwall’ are all within easy driving distance from Rooky’s Nook.
HISTORIC HOUSES: Lanhydrock, Pencarrow, - and other National Trust historic house and estate ‘treasures’ can be easily visited from Rooky’s Nook.
