Croft Cottage nestles in the South Shropshire hills on the borders of Herefordshire and Worcestershire approximately 6 miles from Ludlow, 5 miles from Cleobury Mortimer, and 4 miles from Tenbury Wells.

This self catering detached cottage is ideally suited for couples seeking a tranquil location yet within easy reach of a wide range of attractions.

The cottage has been recently refurbished throughout and comprises a sitting room with dining area, kitchen, double bedroom and bathroom. The sitting room has a wood burning stove and is comfortably furnished with a two seater sofa, dining table and chairs, TV/DVD, radio/CD player plus a well stocked bookcase and small selection of CDs and DVDs. There is a galley kitchen with a 2 ring electric hob, microwave, toaster, fridge freezer, compact ‘fridge top’ oven & grill, plus the usual pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. The bedroom has French doors opening onto the patio (perfect for sunny breakfasts or evening barbecues). The spacious bathroom has a bath with electric shower over, shaver point and heated towel rail. All rooms have individually controlled electric panel heaters.

The cottage is single storey with no internal steps. There is one external step leading to the entrance door and one step from the French doors to the patio.

Croft Cottage has its own private entrance drive and a sizeable garden area which includes a small patio and parking, all separate from our own home nearby. There is also undercover storage for bicycles and motorbikes. We are close enough to offer any help and advice as required, but assume that guests will wish to enjoy their privacy in this wonderfully tranquil, rural location.

Our nearest shops are in Clee Hill village (2 miles) which has a convenience store and post office, newsagent and a superb bakery. A little further away are the delightful small towns of Tenbury Wells and Cleobury Mortimer each with a good, range of shops, pubs, restaurants and other facilities. Ludlow is a haven for foodies, with an excellent market, specialist food shops and gourmet eateries!

Croft Cottage is well situated for exploring the Shropshire Hills and surrounding countryside of Herefordshire, Worcestershire and the Welsh Marches. This is great walking country, indeed there several footpaths just yards from the door.

Some of the many other attractions within easy reach include: Historic Ludlow’s castle and medieval streets; Leominster’s priory and antique shops; Hereford’s cathedral housing the Mappa Mundi; Ironbridge’s industrial heritage museum and not forgetting many National Trust properties and wonderful gardens.

There is a good range of information leaflets and guides in the cottage to help you plan your days out. Regrettably, we cannot accommodate pets or indoor smokers! Tariff: from £200 - £300 per week which includes electricity, bed linen, towels and a basket of logs.

Our bookings run from FRIDAY to FRIDAY. A deposit of £50 secures your dates and we will send you a reminder for the balance one month prior to your stay.

We also offer weekend or mid-week breaks starting from only £135 and mid-week breaks are 4 nights for the price of 3!
