Luxury studio cottage for two persons close to Alnmouth on the beautiful Northumberland Heritage Coast.

Panoramic views over the Aln valley towards Alnwick, with its famous castle and gardens. One mile to the beach, cosy pubs, restaurants and local shops. Private patio, garden and parking. Log burning stove. Well-behaved smaller dogs welcome.

Flat screen TV/DVD with over 30 popular movies to choose from, quality iPod dock and mobile broadband. The mainline railway station is 5 minutes walk with regular services to Edinburgh (1 hour), Berwick and Newcastle (30 mins). Bamburgh Castle, Howick Gardens, Gragside Hall are all about 15-30 minutes drive.

The Summer House is located in a quiet lane within the tiny hamlet of Bilton which is on the road into Alnmouth from the A1. Several country walks can be started directly from the cottage, including along the river into Alnwick 3 miles away. An hourly bus service runs to and from Alnwick, stopping on the edge of Bilton. A local private hire taxi service also operates from Alnmouth. The location of the cottage is adjacent to a working farm and small holding and so animals are often in close proximity.

Catering facilities include two electric rings, a small over/grill and a microwave. A small BBQ is provided. Several good pub restaurants are close by and there are all the usual take-aways in Alnwick, some of which also deliver. By prior arrangement, the Red Lion in Alnmouth will also server full English breakfast to our guests.

Double accommodation is on a high-quality fold-down wall-bed with 8” sprung-interior mattress. Bedding and fresh linen are provided and all power is included. Most guests choose to clean to premises themselves before leaving but a cleaning service can be provided by prior arrangement at an additional cost.
